Services are available to help prospective students prepare for the Wake Tech placement tests.
The COMPASS placement test measures your current skills in reading, writing, and math to determine if you are ready for college-level coursework or if you need pre-curriculum coursework.
Students who are high school graduates can get help in the ILC to prepare for the test in the areas of reading, writing, and math. Services are available for individualized tutoring in the Learning Center, or students can request self-study materials.
To get started, see a Wake Tech counselor to discuss entering Wake Tech and ask for a counselor referral form. Bring the completed form to the ILC to begin. Call 919-866-5276 for more information.
